Video: Ebony multiboxing Alterac Valley 5x Warlocks
Our very own Ebony has released an amazing video of what it is like to Pwn Alterac Valley with 5x Warlocks.  She said that some of the wins are giving her 100,000 XP and primarily is being used as a method to level up to 70 and beyond. The strategy looks to be ginormously fun.  I’ll summarize it for you: Step #1  -  Run towards enemy Step #2  -  Apply 592 million DOTs Step #3 -  Run towards next enemy Note:  In the event you should run into a large number of enemies, simply bust out 5 Infernals, and dominate them all. Caution:  The video you are about to see is going

Video: Multiboxer Solo’s Midsummer Event Boss
Our very own Kiyas created a video of multiboxing the Midsummer event and had this to say about it: Ahune The Frost Lord as you will all know is summoned in Slave Pens during the Midsummer Fire Festival. Initially this boss took me four attempts to figure it out but after that normally I do it first attempt daily for the two emblems of frost and hoping to get the Ice Chip – Item – World of Warcraft for my Palidin… It can get a bit hectic on this fight the way I do it but thankfully I got a good tank some awesome dps and a really good Priest healer. Firstly I set up my group near where

Multiboxing Retribution Paladins – Ramparts
After over a week of gameplay and preparation, the 4x Paladin 1x Death Knight team has finally come together in Ramparts.  This new multiboxing team brings together a lot of potential on paper.  One such potential is Divine Storm. Massive self healing through multiboxing the Divine Storm Skill: On paper it would seem that it is quite possible to run instances, even heroics, without having to heal the tank of the group (bosses not counted) simply by having 4x Retribution Paladins using the Divine Storm skill.   When fully glyphed, this skill will heal your party members for 40% of the damage done.  Multiple this by 4 and

Video! 5x Hunters Vs. 5 man content: Deadmines
Solomani is at it again with another multiboxing Hunter video, this time he is multiboxing Deadmines.    He has this to say about his team: All 5x Hunters. No healers. Comments list any issues I had in the run. Will hopefully get ST up this weekend. 5x BM. Builds are similar but not identical. I found talents I normally wouldn’t take or find useful solo are worthwhile for 5x hunter (like the improved heal and any party booster talent). I toyed with the idea of mixing BM and Marks but it would just reduce efficiency too much IMO. Take a look at the multiboxing Deadmines video

Video! 5x Hunters Vs. 5 man content: Wailing Caverns
Solomani, one of our forum posts here on the Multiboxing Forums, has been creating some fantastic videos of his journey through World of Warcraft multiboxing Hunters! Solomani said, “One thing to note I haven’t bought *anything* with these guys. All their kit are from drops or quests. That’s another part of my personal challenge – to resist pimping them out. The only thing I buy is food for the pets, repairs, ammo and the mounts.” Here is a video of Wailing Caverns being multiboxed by 5 Hunters.

Cataclysm Class Information Coming!
Directly from the horses mouth: Beginning Wednesday, April 7 we will begin releasing class previews containing an overview of some of the changes currently being planned for each of the 10 World of Warcraft classes. The type of information you can expect from these posts are a list of the new spells from 80-85, the new passive mastery bonuses for all talent trees, a brief outline of some of the talent changes we’re currently planning, and in some cases new low level spells for select classes. These changes will by no means be comprehensive, and are subject to change between now and the launch of the expansion. It’s also important to understand that some classes are currently further along in the development process than others, and as a result the amount of information will vary from class to class. Please do not let this frustrate you should your class be amongst those which are on the “lighter” side of things, as all classes will receive the same level of design attention before the expansion is released. Additionally we’ll be providing more information for all classes, especially as we move into the beta phase.

World of Warcraft Patch 3.3.3 Notes
World of Warcraft Client Patch 3.3.3 PvP The amount of Honor awarded for an Honorable Kill has been increased by 100% for characters of all levels. Since all Honor is awarded based on a conversion rate from Honorable Kills, this change will effectively double the amount of Honor received from Honorable Kills, or for completing Battleground and Wintergrasp objectives; however, the amount of experience gained from completing Battleground objectives and the amount of Honor rewarded for completing each Wintergrasp quest remain unchanged. Battlegrounds The Random Battleground system has been added! Similar to the Random Dungeon system in the Dungeon Finder, players can now queue for a random Battleground.

Intel i7-980X Reviewed: Live video of Tim unboxing and setting up the I7-980X CPU!
For your PC nuts out there, today we will be doing a special live video review of the newest, absolutely most monsterous gaming CPU on the market today:  The Intel I7-980X CPU.  This processor is the highest end desktop CPU that money can buy.  With 6 CPU cores, with a standard 3.3GHZ clockspeed, and fully overclockable, this CPU will melt your heart. How will this CPU fare for multiboxing?  Our guess is that you could run 40+ World of Warcrafts on a single PC using this processor. Previously Tim (the founder of this site as well as the owner of the Pwnboxer multiboxing software) was using the voraciously fast i7 975 Extreme Edition as his gaming CPU.  Don’t get us wrong, that processor is a beast.  However, if the 975EE is a beast, than the 980X is a solar system.  Yes, it is all that and a bag of black holes! Tonight at approx. 4pm CST, Tim will be streaming live then full unboxing of this i7-980X CPU and will be installing it into his gaming system.  You can watch this stream live here:   Justin.tv/Multiboxing

Video: 4x Priests 1x Paladin Multiboxing Ramparts
Tim has a new team of multiboxed World of Warcraft characters:  4x Priests  (Discipline)  1x Pally (Protection) The goal of this team is to do absolutely insane AOE damage in instance pulls while staying relatively unscathed.  Individually, a Priest using Holy Nova to DPS in an instanced would typically be laughed at while the other players click confirmation on the group kick option.  However, when four Priests are multiboxed together with a Protection Paladin, the end result is nothing less than amazing. Below is a video of the carnaged wrecked in the first Burning Crusade instance:  Ramparts Here is the general strategy and a 35 minute video:

Blizzard’s Eyonix reviews the upcoming “Mastery” system
Last week, we gave you an early look at the changes we’re making to the stat system in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, and explained how these changes will ultimately provide players with more interesting gear choices and make stats easier to understand. Today we’d like to go into more detail about a brand-new feature that’s an integral part of this overhaul: the Mastery system, a set of new game mechanics designed to allow players to become better at what makes their chosen talent tree cool or unique. With this system, we want to accomplish three things: give players more freedom in how they allocate talent points, simplify some of the “kitchen sinky” talents that try to do too much at once, and add a new stat to high-level gear that makes you better at your chosen role.

Cataclysm Stat & System Changes  | read this item
Cataclysm Stat & System Changes
As many of you know from panels at last year’s BlizzCon and posts here on the forums since then, Cataclysm will bring about major changes to familiar character stats such as Intellect, Armor Penetration, Defense, and others, ultimately designed to make the effects of stats more easily understandable and make gear choices more interesting. As these changes will have a significant impact on how stats work and relate to one another, today we wanted to offer you a closer look at exactly what’s in store and explain some of the rationale before Cataclysm arrives. The most obvious question these changes raise is “Why are stats being changed, and why now?” As the game has matured, we’ve run into increasingly complex issues with the current stat system. Many stats are inherently confusing, and the way they interrelate can feel convoluted. Attack Power, for example, currently translates to damage, but so does Armor Penetration. Defense provides five different statistical benefits of varying utility. Mana regeneration involves understanding multiple stats and rules and often ends up being irrelevant anyway. In addition, the difference between a “good stat” for a class and a “bad stat” can be extreme. Some casters want Haste but not Crit; hunters want Armor Penetration but not Haste. There are other overarching issues, as well, such as Intellect not being very exciting for casters despite it being a core stat — and these are just a few examples.

Ualaa and his Amazing Alchemy Guide
Ualaa’s Alchemy (Transmute Guide) Introduction While we can take a single toon and fly about gathering mineral or herbs, the same as any other one-boxer… and possibly even have a few toons doing the same at one time, switching between them. This is not really that much more efficient a means to make gold then we could do as single boxers. Dailies are a decent method to compound our extra characters into more gold then a one-boxer makes, from doing the same thing as one character. It requires a route which is based off of either kills or drops where each toon can loot from every corpse. My current route takes 45 minutes on the first team and an hour on the other two teams, and makes 1100g in the process. But dailies are repetitive and boring, even if they are consistent. It is getting rather hard to make myself run the route each day.

Want 1000mbit/sec Internet Access for “t3h cheep”?
Imagine playing WoW on 1000mb/sec fiber optic connection, rolling around with 9ms ping times.  Well guess what?  Google wants to give it to just me you. Google is planning to launch an experiment that we hope will make Internet access better and faster for everyone. We plan to test ultra-high speed broadband networks in one or more trial locations across the country. Our networks will deliver Internet speeds more than 100 times faster than what most Americans have access to today over 1 gigabit per second, fiber-to-the-home connections.

What is multiboxing?

Multiboxing is a term used to denote one user playing multiple accounts simultaneously. Typically you will have 1 player controlling multiple characters at the same time.

For example, in World of Warcraft, 1 person may be controlling 5 Shamans at the same time.
