Often times here at Multiboxing.com, we get into discussions where people come forth and confess that they’re completely clueless about something. This, of course, is where we come some further discussions and some really great guides. One such discussion led to both Tim and myself saying how much we didn’t know about “96969″. That sparked not one, but two different looks at the rotation all put into a single thread. Such wonderful things come from not knowing something.

And now a look a paladin tanking.

The Paladin 96969 Macro

The 96969 macro, is essentially three abilities with 9 second cooldowns, combined with two abilities with 6 second cooldowns.

By weaving them together, each “9″ ability is used every 9 seconds, while each “6″ ability is used every 6 seconds.

Each of our “9″ abilities lasts 8 to 9 seconds, while each of our “6″ abilities is on a six second cooldown.

This is almost perfect; we need to add 1 point to “Improved Judgements” in the retribution tree, and Holy Shield lasts 8 seconds not 9.

We then mash a single macro, a castsequence, casting each spell in order. Because each ability is an instant cast, our client does not need to wait on the server to acknowledge the completion of each spell; this means, the GCD is the only limitation on our macro.

Our “9″ second abilities are: Holy Shield, Judgement, and Consecrate.

Our “6″ second abilities are: Hammer of the Righteous and Shield of Righteousness.

The macro uses 255 of the 255 characters, if you judge both Wisdom and Light or 254 of the 255 characters, if you judge Light twice. There aren’t enough characters to judge Wisdom twice, unless you use an addon.

I like to use a “Click” macro, to call my 96969 macro because I would like to include “start attack” and the option for my DPS to attack without my Paladin joining in (ranged mob which will die before it closes to melee).

My 96969 macro prioritizes: Holy Shield > Judgement > Consecrate. I like this, because I have the option to manually Consecrate as the mobs arrive, and it will have refreshed by the time my sequence gets to it. Many people prioritize Judgement over Holy Shield, both because of the initial threat and because the Paladin will take more damage this way, and if healing is not an issue, this means more mana to the Paladin via Spiritual Attunement.

My “Click” is simple:

#show Holy Shield
/stopmacro [mod]
/startattack
/Click MultiBarRightButton12

Naturally, change the “click” to point to where your 96969 macro actually resides. If you had trinkets, which you want to automatically execute whenever the cooldown allows, include them in this macro.

And my 96969 is:

/castsequence reset=9 Holy Shield,Hammer of the Righteous,Judgement of Light,Shield of Righteousness,Consecration,Hammer of the Righteous,Holy Shield,Shield of Righteousness,Judgement of Light,Hammer of the Righteous,Consecration,Shield of Righteousness

And then we got more looks. Check it out: http://multiboxing.com/forums/f4/guide-paladin-96969-macro-1711.html

Ever wondered how those multiboxers make their characters automatically spread apart, forming those neat “formations” with smooth, robotic-like ease? It just so happens that these precise individual character movements, known as formations, are actually just a clever use of WoW’s built-in movement keys, such as left strafing, right strafing, and moving forwards and backwards. Once you understand how it works, it is actually very easy to set up.

Our very own Ebony created this guide on how to do character formations in World of Warcraft with Pwnboxer’s key remapping features. This guide should enable you to impress your entire server with your awesome control of your multiboxing group:

To start, this is what you will make them look like, if done correctly:

Ok so we keep wow as it is so the std keybord config in wow. First we need a key to use as our movement key. In this guide we going to use key NumpadO.

Then we need to set up Pwnboxer’s key configuration to make sure we are broadcasting NumO.

Click Configure Keys -> then go to Add New Key -> then click NumO (it will automatically add it to the list).

Now the fun part is to go into Key Remapping in the top right of the screen (blue box round it).

We will want to add the following:

If “Game1″ selected, transform “Num0″ into “Q” on “Game2″

Press add

Then do it for the others

If Game 1 > Num0 > E on game3
If Game 1 > Num0 > W on game4
If Game 1 > Num0 > S on game5

Sso it looks like this:

Then hit “OK” on all of the window boxes to complete your changes. Next, you will want to save your Pwnboxer configuration.

Next, start up your WoWs (or if started already) Press Num0 and it should move all your guys in a nice, box-like formation! Note that this assumes you have not changed any of the WoW default movement keys.

There are a lot more powerful ways you can use this in a system but I wanted to keep it easy to show you how to start it out for new members.

I hope this is guide helps you all in what you need to do formations!
