Alright, its fair to say that Blizzard doesn’t have nearly as cool of contests as we here at multiboxing.com.  But really, how can you compete with such awesome giveaways as video cards and PS3s just for hitting your screencap key or drawing like a 1st grader.  But if you like your drinks in overly elaborate cups, then check out Blizzard’s new contest.  Its not the incredibly awesome tech gear you’ll find with our contests, but you can’t blame them for trying.

The Contest:

The rise of the Lich King is a tale long told and documented in the annals of Azeroth’s history. Now, you can be a part of it in our latest screenshot contest. Capture your heroic efforts against the Scourge or the Lich King in Northrend and in Icecrown Citadel and you could win!

One grand prize winner will be chosen to receive the signed #1 of 750 limited quantity Legendary Edition Rise of the Lich King Stein by Taverncraft. Ten additional runners-up will be chosen to win an Epic Edition Rise of the Lich King stein by Taverncraft.

For more information on Taverncraft and the officially licensed World of Warcraft stein collection, please visit www.wowsteins.com. In order to increase your chances of being picked as one of the winners, please keep the following items in mind when posing for and taking the screenshots you intend to submit:

  • Remember to disable player and NPC names unless they are relevant to the screenshot.
  • Turn up your graphics settings to the highest quality to ensure that your screenshot is the best it can be. You need only keep these settings while taking your screenshots.
  • Screenshots that are heavily or obviously modified in a program such as Adobe Photoshop will not be accepted.
  • Don’t over-compress your submissions. Although all files must be in JPEG format and be less than 2MB, beware of sacrificing visual quality by compressing them too much.

Read the contest rules here.

What is multiboxing?

Multiboxing is a term used to denote one user playing multiple accounts simultaneously. Typically you will have 1 player controlling multiple characters at the same time.

For example, in World of Warcraft, 1 person may be controlling 5 Shamans at the same time.
